Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1300m/4265ft
Upon the arrival in Kathmandu, we Everest Six-Summit Adventures will be welcoming you at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and accompany you to the hotel. There will be time to rest and take in this vibrant city's energy, before having briefing about the trek and introduce with the trekking guide.
Day 02: Drive to Chuplung 2578m/8458ft (7-8hrs)
Today we have an early morning drive to Chuplung. In Chuplung, it is said that Sir Edmund Hillary was interested to build a school when he visited this place first. But people did not respond him well at that time because they didn't know much about how the school give benefit to their children. After that Hillary established Hillary school in Khumjung. People used to escape and try to hide seeing foreign people due to the lack of education. They missed such a golden opportunities and pushed their society many more years back.
Day 03: Trek to Kilkhording Monastery 3098m/10164ft (5-6hrs)
As per routine today we will climb uphill to Thole Dhada and we have to pass through the normal jungle. Tholedemba (3150m) is the highest and the most attractive hill of Western Okhaldhunga. This place is located to the south eastern part of Kathmandu which is about 210-215 km far from Kathmandu.Tholedemba is located between 6 villages development committee in western Okhaldhunga (Bhusinga, Rawadolu, Patale, Khijiphalate, Khijichandeswori, and Khijikati). Most of the tourist prefer to visit new destination and Tholedemba is less crowded and historical site from where panoramic view of various mountain range including Mt. Everest can be viewed. Anyone can enjoy the experience of visiting Buddhist Monasteries, Temples, settlement of different ethnic groups, culture and traditions of the these ethnic group as well as natural floras and faunas.
Kilkhording is one of the greatest monastery. There we will see many young children for study to be monk from surrounding villages like Patale, Chhermading, Dorkharka, Chuplung, Bhusinga and others also due to which this Monastery is famous. However due to the earthquake devastation of 2015, it is under construction.
Day 04: Trek to Taklung 3420m/11220ft (6-7hrs)
Enjoying some beautiful natural resources, domestic animals like yak and nak, wild animals like barking deer and languor. Then we will reach Kentar Monastery. After a short visit to Monastery we will continue trek to Taklung which is also a summer pasture having animal shelter from where we can see Mt. Gaurisankar at Northwest.
Day 05: Trek to Pikey Base Camp 3640m/11942ft (6-7hrs)
Today we will walk a normal trail to get to Pikey Base Camp. We will definitely get opportunities to take photos of ancient Mane Wall and Stupa. People of that region spend their income to build such a praying mane walls, Stupa for religious purpose. They didn't have a sense of contributing some of their income in health and education sector at that time which can make a huge difference to the social development. Now all of them has been destroyed and damaged by being old and also by the destructive earthquake. Now it’s a big challenge for all to reconstruct them as it was.
Day 06: Climb Pikey Peak 4065m/ and Trek to Lhamuje 3500m/11482ft (5-6hrs)
Today we will get up quite earlier than usual and climb Pikey Peak to enjoy and capture the paranoiac Mountain View. There are two different peak called Gole Pikey and another is Chawa Pikey. We can see view of mountains from third highest Mt. Kanchenjunga to Mt. Makalu including Mt. Everest and other peaks. After having a tremendous time in Pikey Peak we will get back to same trial for a while and trek to Lhamuje.
Day 07: Trek to Jhapre 2820m/9251ft
Today we will head to Jhapre descending from Lhamuje. On the way we will reach the road which leads to Jiri which was an old route for local people for their necessities also the route to head to Kathmandu. We will be heading via Tolu Monastery which is one of the oldest Monastery in that area after Tengbouche Monastery. If we have enough time than we will be going to longer trial for short visit Damar, LowaKharka and Dikure 'Tamang' Village also small school and continue trek to Jhapre.
Day 08: Drive from Jhapre to Kathmandu
Today after breakfast, we will ride from own private jeep from Jhapre to Kathmandu after our mountain journey. On the way we will pass through Okhaldhunga district headquarter, we will be crossing one of the famous river called SunKoshi 'Gold River' which is the lowest elevation 600 m, we will also see different houses, terrace farming and local people with different dresses.Continue drive to Kathmandu.
Day 09: Rest Day or Sightseeing
Today, we can take a rest or do some souvenir shopping. If we want to explore any other areas of Kathmandu, we may do that today. Our guides can help you with both souvenir shopping or sightseeing. There will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.
Day 10: Departure
Our trip in Nepal ends today. We Everest Six-Summit will pick you up from hotel and drop to International Airport few hours before the scheduled flight.
