Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport
Where we will meet you and accompany you to your hotel. If you are coming to Nepal in the morning time, you can make sightseeing program trip after your midday meal. If you are agreed to book your hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and other places through us, we are happy to do so or you can manage your booking if you like.
Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 hour by Bus)
Around 7:30 AM we will drive to Pokhara via tourist bus or private car, the trip is 6 hours. We will spend the afternoon and evening in Pokhara exploring the city and seeing the beauty of Phewa Lake. A flight can also be arranged for an extra fee. If you fly, we will arrange a morning departure so that we can trek to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri in the afternoon after a short drive to Nayapul from Pokhara or if you prefer to spend a day in Pokhara after flying, that can also be arranged.
Day 03: Drive Pokhara-Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1491m) Ulleri (1980m). (5-6 hours)
After having your breakfast in your hotel in Pokhara (7:30), we will drive one hour drive by car from Pokhara to Birethati / Nayapool, situated along the Modi River. You will enjoy walking today through small villages, green hills, and past a series of four water falls that provide excellent swimming holes. The trail in the afternoon takes us to Tikhedunga, a town built into the valley wall just above the river.
Day 04: Trek Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani 2850m (5-6 hours)
It is a steep climb from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani up beautifully made stone stairs. There are ample opportunities to break and have a cold drink or a cup of tea along the way. Ghorepani is one of the most popular villages for trekkers where we will find many lodges to choose from. It is situated the ridge separating the valley of the Kali Gandaki and Modi Rivers and it is surrounded with forests of rhododendron, pines, many species of birds. If one desires they can visit Poon Hill for sunset before heading up again for a beautiful sunrise.
Day 05: Trek Gorepani up to Poon Hill (3210 m) the to Tadapani 2540 m (6 hours)
Today is most important day of your trip. We will get up very early today to hike Poon Hill for the spectacular experience of watching the sunrise over a long stretch of the Himalayas. From Gorepani the walk to Poon Hill (3210 m) takes one hour. From the top you and company will see an excellent clear morning view of the mountain of Annapurna Himalayas such as Annapurna I (8091 m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna South (7119 m), and Machha Puchhre or Mt. Fishtail (6993 m). Nilgiri, Singa Chuli, and many more mountains and trekking peaks are also visible. After sunrise we will head back to the hotel for breakfast before trekking to Tadapani. The trek route leads up and down hills through beautiful rhododendron forest.
Day 06: Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk village 1940 m (3 hours)
Today is a short trek, just down hill for 3 hours. Ghandruk village (2012m) is a most interesting Gurung village, which has provides many Gorkha Soldiers to the military. Fantastic views of Annapurna South, Machha Puchhre and Himalchuli from this village. There is also a museum of Gurung People here, so if there is spare time, that is a nice thing to do while in Ghandruk village.
Day 07: Trek Ghandruk - Birethanti and drive to POKHARA (4 hours with one hour drive)
After one hour of walking we meet the road. If you feel tired, we can hire a local jeep to Birethanti, a 1 hour drive. If you are not tired feeling, we will walk to Birethanti for 3 hours before driving one hour back to Pokhara. Depending on your time limit, you can fly to Kathmandu the same day or if you prefer, you can stay one night and rejuvenate in Pokhara before driving or flying to Kathmandu tomorrow.
Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu:
30 minute flight back Kathmandu or 5-6 hours by driving by tourist bus or private vehicle along Trishuli River. We will come to Kathmandu airport or tourist bus station to receive you and drop you off at the hotel. This day you can visit Thamel for shopping and restaurants or do more sightseeing at Swayembunath, Boudanath, the Hanuman Dhoka, or other places around Kathmandu. In the evening if you like, we can make arrangements for dinner and a cultural show with your trekking guide and porters in Thamel.
Day 09: Departure / Trip End
We will come to the hotel and drop you at the airport in time to make your departing flight and say goodbye.
