I want to share my thanks, my admiration and respect to Mingmar also publicly here. He is not only a very nice person but also 100% reliable, excellent organiser, customer minded - a true professional. And I must mention the excellent food they are making with the team, and there's a lot of it. My experience is from two trips so far (Everest Base Camp & Kala Patthar and Damar & Pikey Peak) and going on the third next spring.
Mingmar was an excellent guide and a no joke mountaineer. As the name suggests, he's summited Everest six different times! We did a shorter trek up Pikey Peak with magnificent views of Everest and all the way down the valley to Annapurna. It's a very poor region with much less developed tea houses, but it was a great experience with a deep immersion into the local culture.
I have just returned from Nepal after trekking in the Lantang valley and the Gosainkunda region. These two treks were outstanding for many reasons and highly compare with the more popular Everest trekking routes.
