To start the trip from Kathmandu to Dhunche 6 hours by ground transfer. Gosaikunda Lake considered as a holy and pilgrimage lake trek which is located remote and spectacular hidden valley of Langtang Himalaya range. The sacred lake is regarded as a major pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. This lake is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva (Hindu’s god) when he thrust his trishul (trident) into a mountain. Gosaikunda Lake is visited by thousands of Hindus and Buddhist pilgrims during the month of every August. Besides the Gosaikunda Lake, the Nagkunda, Bhairabkunda, Saraswatikunda and Surajkunda also popular pilgrimage lake here.
The trek passes through varied landscapes ranging from evergreen forest of rhododendron, bamboo, oak, cascading waterfall, turbulent stream, also alpine grass and barren mountainsides.
In this region, there are mainly Tamang and Sherpa and their origin, religion, culture, languages, dress are similar with Tibetan people. This trek offers unique combination of cultures, landscapes stunning mountain and diverse wildlife and vegetation.
The Hiking trail leads to the Gosainkunda-Helambu path. Helambu valley is very famous for its natural beauty and wonderful climate with superb views of magnificent snow-covered mountains. It lacks the views of mountains as Langtang and Gosaikunda but offers a close look at the village life and is fine winter or cultural trek. It’s an easy trail with surprisingly amount of steep climbs and stiff descents, of the through deep forests or across glacial moraines. The area is inhabited by Sherpa and other ethnic groups possessing Buddhist Gompa, villages with nice terraces and unique traditional culture and Spectacular mountain views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Mount Gaurishanker, Mount Ganesh Himal, Langshisa Ri, Gangchenpo, Yala peak and Naya kanga seems to be marvelous throughout the way.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport transfer to hotel.
Day 02 Drive Kathmandu to Dunche 7-8 hrs over night at Lodge.
Day 03: Trek to Sing-gompa (Chandanbari) 6-7 hrs over night at Lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Gosainkunda 4-5 hrs over night at Lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Gopte 6-7 hrs over night at lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Tharepati 3 hours
Day 07: Trek to Kutumsang 5-6 hours
Day 08: Trek to Chisapani 6-7 hours
Day 09: Trek to Sundarijal 3-4 hrs and 30 minute drive to Kathmandu
