It is settled by community of Gurung and Magar people we explore their culture and locality there. The trip looks fantastic for those wishing to experience Nepal’s mountain scenery and ethnic culture within a short time.
The Sarangkot trek which is view point offers spectacular mountain scenery such as Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) 6,993m, Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna III (7,855m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna South (7,819m), Baraha Shikhar (7,847m), Himchuli (6,441m), Dhaulagiri I ( 8,167m), Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Nilgiri (6,940m), Thapa Peak (6,015m), Tukche Peak (6,920m), Mardi Himal (5,588m), Singu Chuli (6,500m), Tharpu Chuli (5,663m), Gangapurna (7,483m), and Lamjung Himal (6,931m). These majestic Himalayan peaks appear in the north and are perched towards the northwest of Pokhara. Enchanting views of Pokhara valley and the Phewa Lake can be seen from Sarangkot. The Sarangkot trek could be done either Pokhara to Sarangkot or from the Dhampus village to Sarangkot.
If you want to save time, you will take flight (30minutes from Kathmandu) and start your trek same day. Similarly, you can trek from Sarangkot to Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu as in same day. In this way there are option to save two more days.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport transfer to hotel
Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m) by private car or with tourist bus 5-6 hours.
Day 03: Drive to Phadi (1080m), and trek to Dhampus (1580m) 3-4 hours
Day 04: Trek Dhampus to Sarangkot (1910m) 3-4 hours
Day 05: Trek Sarangkot to Pokhara (950m) 3-4 hours
Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus 5-6 hours
Day 07: Leave Kathmandu
